Health is order. Illness is disorder. Also we can say it balance and imbalance. Order and disorder are in constant interaction within the human body. As the wise person learns to be completely aware of the presence of disorder in his body, he undertakes the restoration of order. He understands that order is inherent to disorder, and only by the awareness of that notion it is possible to return to a healthy state. Health is the result of an optimal balance of the metabolic processes (agni), of the correct elimination of the organic waste (mal) - urine, feces and sweat, the normal operation of the senses (indriyas), and to have the mind (manah) and the conscience (atma) working harmoniously as one. When the balance of any of these systems is disturbed, the process of illness begins, whether metabolic, toxic, degenerative or infectious, given that the natural resistance and immunity are based on the physical, psychological and spiritual balance. In order to restore the health of the body, the support of the spirit, and to attain longevity, the ancient Ayurvedic medicine of India recommends, depending on the clinical case of the individual, diets, fasts, organic and chemical cleansing methods and a suitable regime of life. This way, the natural Ayurvedic medicine, which corrects the imbalance, is the spiritual/physical exercise of yoga. These exercise, it is worth noting, must be practiced under the personal care and the professional guidance of an Ayurvedic doctor (Vaidya).
